Daniel Selby - Law Student with Financial Research Experience
Daniel Selby is a law student at Brooklyn Law School. Before law school he served as an underwriter with a private credit firm. He exceled at structuring creative financial solutions and identifying risk factors. He made investment decisions through a careful evaluation of the creditworthiness of the debtor party and analysis of financial statements. Daniel “Dan” Selby previously worked with a private equity firm focused on energy transition assets, with an emphasis on macroeconomic market research and analysis.
Dan Selby earned his BA in economics at New York University (NYU) in 2024. As an undergraduate, he was active with the NYU Global Leadership Program. He served as founder and president of the school’s Pizza Club. He also gained experience as an OTC derivatives intern with a leading futures regulatory organization. He undertook examinations of member firms and helped ensure adherence with swaps market regulations.
Mr. Selby also served as a communications intern with a Washington DC foundation focused on energy futures. His responsibilities included authoring insight pieces and blog posts, as well as copy editing analytical pieces and op-eds.
